The history of McGeehan Motorsport

With dozens of international rally wins and multiple championship titles under their belts McGeehan motorsport are one of the leading rally car preparation companies in Ireland.

From the team’s base in Draperstown Co Derry McGeehan Motorsport have prepared winning cars for the Northern Ireland Rally Championships, Scottish Rally Championships, Irish National Championships, Southern Four Championships and the Irish Tarmac Championships. Under the guidance of Head Engineer/Owner Derek McGeehan, the McGeehan team prepare and run cars to the highest standard. Derek’s many years of experience, skills and hands on knowledge of rally cars has contributed to the success of the team and its customers over the last 10 years.

Among the growing list of McGeehan Motorsport successes there are many championship titles, but in 2004 Eugene Donnelly driving a McGeehan Motorsport prepared Toyota Corolla WRC took the Irish Tarmac title for the first time. Eugene followed his championship win with another 4 titles in his Corolla WRC, Subaru Impreza S12 WRC and Skoda Fabia WRC all prepared and run by the McGeehan Motorsport Team.

In recent years Irish Tarmac Championship contender Tim McNulty has moved his Subaru Impreza S12B to the McGeehan Garage. On its arrival the car under want extensive testing and development to improve the setup & handling and was fitted all round with Reiger Suspension. Since then Tim has won the Irish National and International Rally Championships in McGeehan Motorsport run Impreza.
